ICON Holiday Party

The Event: ICON Creative Studio, Canada's largest independently owned CG animation studio, grew substaintially over the pandemic. With many employees working remotely and in different offices, ICON wanted to close out the year with a holiday event that would bring the team together. They needed a venue that could accommodate over 900 people. ICON enlisted KindCo’s services to find a location and plan the logistics to bring their holiday party to life.

The Format:

KindCo developed the holiday party event strategy for upwards of 900 people, which involved securing a central location that would allow guests to safely commute to and from the event. We selected a venue where employees could have fun and explore together. KindCo partnered with iconic Science World to create a memorable evening with moments of surprise and delight, incorporating meaningful moments that connected back to the team’s work. The evening included a surprise stunt performance with Darth Vader, Jedi’s, and a Stormtrooper in the OMNI Max theatre. In addition, there were surprise appearances from some of ICON’s favourite characters and fun photo opportunities throughout the venue. We offered festive cocktails and canapes and then shifted to a delicious late-night menu for partygoers. We provided full-service event planning, day of coordination, coat check and ticket management, and coordinated all the vendors.
